I heard Triad has a special seating section for this event. Can anyone tell me what section? I am wanting to purchase tickets.

I'm looking for the Madison school location. I know it used to be located in the shopping center at the corner of Slaughter Rd. and Highway 72. What is the address?

Sorry it took so long to reply. I'm sure you've noticed not many people use this forum. As a result, I don't check it often.

Triad's Jiu Jitsu is taught with real life self defense in mind. Traditional Gracie jiu jitsu was developed as a form of self defense. It was not intended as a sport. Triad stays true to this. Triad is a self defense school. If you come to a few classes, you'd see pretty quickly that knowing how to defend yourself is the primary focus of Triad's jiu jitsu program. It just so happens we also have people who use it do do very well in jiu jitsu competitions, and MMA. Triad's jiu jitsu program doesn't train you to score points, it trains you to finish your opponent. Even our MMA class is actually a "Vale Tudo" class, not an MMA class. It teaches every aspect of fighting, not just what is allowed in MMA.

As for the next top model crap, that is Proboards doing, not ours. They choose what ads show on any proboards forum.

 Jiu Jitsu street effective?

I like how when I signed up I had to get through a bunch of America's Next Top Model crap...

Anyway, I was wondering if the jiu jitsu or whatever is taught at Triad has any street effectiveness to it. I've read that jiu jitsu schools are only good for people looking to get into MMA sports. Is jiu jitsu only good for sport or is it effective on the streets?

I update the website and keep it running, but I honestly don't have time to take photos for the website. If anyone has any photos they'd like added, they can email them to me at Josh@Triadmartialarts.com. As for the schedule and instruction books, I'm clueless.

If you email Danny at Triad in Madison I'm sure he will give you the information you need.

I just found your site as I was trying to contact the gym to get info about parents night out in Madison and since I didn't get an answer I thought I would check the website. Have you thought about posting everything that is on the board to the site and just remind people after class for info on upcoming events you can check the website. Also I agree more photos would be good. I am sure lots of my kids friends would check the site out then and that could be good for business. I was telling some parents about the summer camp and how much the kids enjoyed it. Some photos of that would also be good if you had some. Then I can send the parents to the site to check it out.

Also I was wondering if you have ordered/received anymore instruction books? We haven't gotten one yet and would like to purchase one as soon as they come in.
